The Zuid-Holland – China cooperation

Through the Co-Development Program, the Province of Zuid-Holland offers Dutch companies and knowledge institutes high quality information on Hebei Province in China. The program creates opportunities for investment, cooperation and network building between organizations from China and the Netherlands.

The Co-Development Program focuses on Water & Environment, Education, Energy & Emissions and Harbor & Coastal Development. The Co-Development Program is jointly managed by two agencies, one located in Den Haag, Zuid-Holland and the other in Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei province.

What can the Co-Development Program do for you?

The program helps you find your way in the complex Chinese market. We offer you the following services:

  • Organizing information exchange between both regions.
  • Addressing specific requests from individual companies and knowledge institutes.
  • Connecting potential Dutch and Chinese partners.

Sister program: the Co-Innovation Program

The Province of Zuid-Holland also cooperates with the Pudong district in Shanghai. This cooperation is coordinated by the Co-Innovation Program. The relationship between Zuid-Holland and Shanghai Pudong has existed since 2004.

Friendship since 1993: Zuid-Holland & Hebei

The relationship between the Province of Zuid-Holland and Hebei Province dates back to 1993. In 2007, this relationship was sealed by means of a friendship agreement. The agreement (pdf, 325,6 kB) was signed in The Hague by the Governor of Hebei, Guo Gengmao, and the Queen’s Commissioner of Zuid-Holland, Jan Franssen.
