Recently, a position change took place in the Provincial Party committee in Hebei province. Zhang Qingli was appointed the new Secretary of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee, thereby replacing Zhang Yunchuan who will enjoy his retirement.

Zhang Qingli was born in January 1951 in Dongping city, Shandong Province. He served as mayor of Dongying City, Shandong Province and Secretary of Tai'an Municipal Committee of the CPC.

After 1998, he served in the Gansu Provincial Committee, and the Lanzhou Municipal Committee.

In 1999, Zhang was transferred  to Xinjiang Autonomous Region, where he served as the regional party committee of the standing committee of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps commander, as deputy party secretary, and as District Government Vice-Chairman.

In 2005, he was transferred to the Tibet Autonomous Region Party Committee Deputy Secretary, serving as Acting Secretary.

Afterwards, he was appointed as Secretary of the Tibet Regional Party Committee in 2006. He has worked in Tibet for 5 years and is a member of  the Seventh Central Committee.
