During the Holland Water Week, both Chinese and Dutch organizations presented their knowledge and experiences in water related issues to the world in a 5-seminar cycle. 

The Holland Water Week took place in the Holland Pavilion at the World Expo in Shanghai, from June 5 to 11, and was visited by more than 600 guests, the majority of whom were Chinese representatives of companies, institutes and government officials. The Dutch delegation was led by the vice-governor of the Province of Zuid-Holland, Lenie Dwarshuis-Van de Beek, and included 45 members.

From 10-13 March an official delegation from the Water Department of Hebei Province paid a visit to Zuid-Holland. The delegation was led by Vice Governor Mr. Zhang He.
The delegation visited several companies in the water field to discuss cooperation possibilities. Further on, they also met with Vice Governor Mrs. L. Dwarshuis.
